BubbLe

My friends have known me as bubble, my MSN nickname. The question now is DO YOU KNOW WHERE THIS NAME COME FROM? Like any other kidz, we always have idols. Besides Hello Kitty, I love POWERPUFFS GIRLS. Blossom, Buttercup, and BUBBLE! yes yes... my bubble comes from powerpuff girls character. yeah yeah yeah! Below is short information from Wikipedia: Bubble is "the cute one". Her signature color is light blue, and she has short blond hair in two pigtails. She was named for her cute and bubbly personality. She tends to act like the baby of the group, despite being the same age. Her best friend is a stuffed octopus doll she calls "Octi". In the episode "Ice Sore," she exhibits the ability to speak Spanish. She displays and is defined by innocence, playfulness and gentle demeanor, having a tendency to be naïve, ditzy, submissive and sensitive, leading to her often being regarded, by friends and foes alike, as the group's weak link. She can become very independent and aggressive when pushed, however, and among the girls, she is most feared by Mojo Jojo after having single-handedly taken him down in a fit of rage in the episode "Bubblevicious". Any comment? hhhmmm....

..back writing!

after all the queit months.... i just decided to come back writing.

good news is I am leaving Singapore end of this month! it has been a so-so life in here, nothing else than many complaints that i can say about my one year and four months staying here. how bad the events are, but i just LOVE to share about them! the summary goes....

- Real estate or property agents here are $ minded and they likes to trick tenants! on my last day @ my apartment mid last year, the agent came up to my friends and I telling that the stove was broken. he suspected that we cleaned with too much water till the fire wont light up. we were like what...? we still cooked noodles a day before. we tried to fire up and what the hell happened... no fire. luckily, my friend was smart calling the gas man to come and check for us. He said that the main controller for the gas is switched off, thats why the fire wont light up. He turned on and we got the stove fixed. We were all girls staying there and we never knew that there was a main controller.... we concluded that the agent knew that we didnt know anything about gas piple and he switched off so he could charg us $250 for repair fee.

- Everyday battel: MRT rides! It is just my lucky day if in a day I dont sniff inside MRT due to the 'salted fish curry' aroma. Plus, the squeezing... now probably you know why it seems I am getting skinnier.

- Open concept bathroom. Splash spalsh and everything got wet... sigh'

- Combined kitchen and laundry area. In a HDB, the common deisgn is that the kitchen area covers the laundry area as well. When my clothes are hanging to dry, then my housemates fries some prawn crackers... All I have is two words "Oh Crap!"

- "What do you want?" those are the greetings at the local food counters here. I am so missing my days when I heard: "What would you like to have, miss?". As customer, I just want to be treated friendly....

- Morning blues. When I worked for a local company, I guess morning greeting to your collagues or boss is considered "kiss-ass" act rather than a genuine interaction of human beings. On first few Mondays, I said "Good morning! Hows your weekend?" and guess what I get in return.. a frown manager face with a broken smile on her face.

and the list still goes.......

I'm back!

It has been a long time since last time I logged in and wrote!

I'm back today - feeling to write about my recent life here in Singapore. Life is T-O-U-G-H!

I already changed my job. From marketing coordinator @ VGO Corp. a.k.a World of Sports and Bread&Butter to operations executive @ Rouge Bunny Rouge. Yeah! Reason of changing: I couldn't stand previous GM... what an uncle! Always pissed people off with his words.

I just feel lonely here.... Wake up at 8am, then go office till 7pm, then go home and watch TV. Having dinner by myself, watching TV by myself! Gawd! The things do not stop here. It just starts to get to the ugly parts... I got to do laundry.. and hellooooo there's no drier here! So I got to open up my clothes and put them on hangers! craps~ Oh, there is NO dishwater too!! Clean every plates with natural lemon scent *at least that what it says on the bottle of dish liquid soap.

... and beef is more expansive than chicken..... :( I miss doing groceries at QFC and Costco!

Thinking to go back to school next year! Don't know where to go and what to study... but I think I need to go away from here. *Cross my fingers*

I miss home! I really am!

2008

It's 2008!
A rat year in chinese calender.

Looking back, nothing really I accomplished last year. Lots of self-disappointed moments :X

Hope ratatouille brings brighter ways this year.
Turning 24, doing new job, enrolling in Art class, and meeting the 1 guy are the highlights on my agenda.

she lost her glass shoes!

i have been almost a month here in singapore and unfortunately still have not adjust myself properly. AAAAGGGGHHRRRR!

i haven't start work yet as I'm still waiting for the card. so, I spend sometime lately to find a place to live nearby the office. I called couples, and took a look at the units. First one is family oriented, they offered me a common room. Gosh, I was surprise! The house is so full of boxes, -gawd- even my storage room back then didn't have much junks. Actually the room is fine, spacious with a single bed and a mini make-up table. When it is advertised, they said the room has wardrobe, make up table, and computer table -- I was kinda figuring out where are they... and the owner pointed at those mini stuffs.... hey owner pleaseeeeeeee, we - tenants- are not barbie! geez. get us real stuff otherwise let us buy ourselves... the bathroom is also fine, it's has glass separator YEY. Thinking over it, i decided not to take it up... there's way too much stuffs in the unit.

Second one is 1+1 unit HDB with 4 digit rental fee. Heyheyhey... HDB building yo... where i bet half of the residents live on. okay, this is when the problems begin. the bathroom, again, no separator between toilet bowl and the shower! why oh why... is it still an architecture trend having this kind of bathroom?? or is it just me who --ooooppps--- have been pampered with all the shiny floors and the glass shower of bathroom. okay, or maybe it's just the OCD me who needs everything clean and clear! i looked around and asked about fridge, the agent said it would be there in the next 3 months. alamak! also, i asked about the washing machine, he replied with the same answer. i felt like bumping my head into the window right away... i was so speechless. if these are the conditions - please, put a right price tag lah you!

Thank you Jesus for my family...
thanks for my dad and mom who always provide me with the finest.

you and i both

Was it you who spoke the words that things would happen but not to me
Oh things are gonna happen naturally
Oh taking your advice I'm looking on the bright side
And balancing the whole thing
But often times those words get tangled up in lines
And the bright lights turn to night
Until the dawn it brings
Another day to sing about the magic that was you and me

Cause you and I both loved
What you and I spoke of
And others just read of
Others only read of the love, the love that I love.

you and i both, jason mraz

being 20 is sometimes hard!

i just finished reading this book, written by dewi pravitasari.

the book title is already attractive, plus the book cover is orange-color... AND the content: it sooooooo reflects girls' quarter life crisis, like mine WOOF WOOF~

the story starts when Sara hates to go to Management school because her parents so wanting her to take care of their business someday in the near future. all she wants is psychology major. his older brother already in civil engineering so definitely can't take over the family business.

crazy little girl failed her business school entry test on purpose! she sleeps on the test HAHAHAHAHA so her way to psychology is wide open since then. the prideful parents send her to Paris.... and before she goes there, her parents introduce her to Zani, their friend's son who reside in Paris in hope so they can be bf and gf. crazily enough, she instead falls in love with his brother, Krisna.. while Zani also likes her... and the story quite explains how typical interesting-complicated-fun-happy-sad triangle of love is. it also shares how twenties survive abroad from doing part time at pizza place up till at LV showroom, and how bad those twenties want to survive there instead of going back for good back to Jakarta.

when Sara reaches 25, she wants to get married as she worries that all of her friends are married and having kids. she asks his guy who have lived with her in the past 4 years about their relationship and happens that the guy is not ready for a marriage yet! both are described depressed as one of them falls on the alcohol, while the other falls on the extreme of having an affair. ... and the relationship is at the end.

Sara can't handle the pressure and finally decides to go back to Jakarta. With her parents' support, she easily can open a clinic. and here we go the parents act. Her parents keeps reminding her of her age, that she needs to get married. Again, her parents introduce her with this guy and that guy but no one can suit well. When there is one guy that she really loves, her father does NOT give approval for that the guy is having a different religion and he thinks the guy is a little too old for her... yet the age different is just 5! the story also shares..... when reality checks in, and some people just feel that they have bad happenings, fortune teller might be an option HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

at the end, Sara get married when she is 32 with a friend of his ex girlfriend, whom her parents like. she initially doesn't love him.... but over time, she is or at least she pretend that she is.....

TOP book, really reflects me and you! Too be honest, i read the book with tears and smile. You can feel that you got this similarity in the Sara character and her life. You are confirmed that you are not alone of being twenties, there are lots of people out there who feel the same as you do... they want to do what they like and not what their parents think it's the best for them. You are taught to be positive in solving your life crisis. So constructive and entertaining... smart author, captured everything that twenties are worrying: marriage and money!

get the book now! what i have written is just part of it, there are more bunches of interesting detail. i am out now.
